Applying reverse psychology to asking questions

Asking questions is hard – especially when you're not as familair with the subject as the rest of the room. Everybody has been told "there's no such thing as a stupid question", but there is an even better motivation to just ask.

We all love hearing ourselves talk. Even the most introverted minds feast on dopamine when we can share our knowledge and teach others. Answering a question from your colleague, team member or student gives you another moment to share you experience and wisdom. Asking a question shows you bothered understanding the topic in the first place. Who doesn't like an attentive audience?
